This site sets no cookies. It keeps two small language settings.

Most cookie policies are long because the site behind them is doing a lot. This one is short for the opposite reason.

Nothing on this site tracks you or advertises to you. The one outside service that counts your visit is GoatCounter, a cookieless visitor counter, described below. Your browser keeps two small settings so the site can remember your language, and nothing else, so there is no cookie banner.

No cookies No tracking, no advertising Updated 5 October 2026

What runs on a page

Three things, and none of them identifies you.

The pages themselves. Plain HTML and CSS, served from this domain.

The typefaces. Served from this domain too, not fetched from a font network. That matters more than it sounds: loading a font from somebody else's server tells that server your IP address on every page you read. Ours does not.

Visitor counting. We use GoatCounter, a hosted analytics service, to count pages viewed, where visitors arrived from, and rough country, browser, system and screen width. Its language collection is switched off. It sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser, not even in local storage or the cache. It does not store your IP address, and it does not build a profile of you. Your browser loads its script from GoatCounter, so GoatCounter's servers see your request, as any server would. Who runs GoatCounter and where its data is stored are set out in the privacy policy. Because it sets no cookies, we do not ask first.

That is the complete list of what loads on any page of this site. What your browser stores is in the next section.

What is stored in your browser, and why nobody asks

No cookies. Two strictly necessary settings. No banner.

This site sets no cookies, and the repo form sets none either. It does keep two small items in your browser, both only about language, and both are needed to do what you asked, so we do not ask first.

Neither holds anything but the language code or a marker. Neither is sent to us or to GoatCounter. Without them the site could not honour your language choice.

The only outside host your browser contacts is GoatCounter, for the counter above. If anything else is ever added that loads from another host or stores something in your browser, it goes behind a real choice and onto this page in the same release, not in a tidy-up later.

What is not on this site

Worth listing, because on most sites this is where the cookies are.

  1. No advertising cookies, and no advertising.
  2. No tracking pixels. No Meta pixel, no LinkedIn tag, no conversion tags of any kind.
  3. No Google Analytics.
  4. No social media buttons that report your visit back to a social network.
  5. No fingerprinting, no session recording, no heatmaps, no chat widget watching the page.
  6. No cookies shared with anybody for building an audience.

That list is short because the decisions behind it were made once, at the start, when the site was rebuilt. It is easier to have no tracking than to have tracking and manage it, and it is the only version of this page we would want to publish given what we sell.

In your browser

There is no choice to reopen. To remove the two language items, clear this site's data in your browser; the site then guesses your language again. If you would rather not be counted at all, a browser or an extension that blocks the counter script works, and the site will behave exactly as before.

While you are here: what happens to an enquiry

Cookies are not the only question people arrive on this page with, so the short answer to the other one.

If you email us, we keep what you send for two years after the last message, unless it turns into work, in which case the records of that work are kept for as long as we work together and then for 6 years, only for legal claims and for tax and accounting records. If you ask for the repos, we keep your request for 12 months from the request. We do not sell it. Updates by email are sent only if you tick their own box, which is never ticked for you.

The long version, including who else touches it and how to make us delete it, is on the privacy policy.

The rules this page is written against

Spanish cookie rules sit in Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE, and they are enforced by the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos. The short version of what they require is consent before anything non-essential is stored or read in your browser. The only items this site stores are the two strictly necessary language items above, so we do not ask.

If you think this page does not match what the site does, tell us and we will either fix the site or fix the page. Write to hi [at] aeia.dev.

Changes to this page

When we change it, the date at the top changes. If we ever add something that needs consent, this page changes in the same release as the thing itself, not afterwards.
